A top cap of the shock absorber is provided that the deformation of the top cap can be prevented and the contact noise between the oil seal and the top cap are prevented. A top cap of the shock absorber(50) comprises a cylinder(52) in which it can be moved up and down, it is provided with the piston rod, an oil seal(58) which is installed on the top of cylinder and seals the piston rod hermetically, a top cap(60) in which it is installed in order to cover the outer side of cylinder, and the piston rod passes through, a reinforcement plate(62) which is prepared in order to support the load of the top cap.
