PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein it is difficult to change the characteristics of a loss compensation circuit matched with the variation of a cable since the constant values of a resistor, a capacitor and an inductance constituting the circuit must be changed in order to change the frequency characteristics of the loss compensation circuit. SOLUTION: In the loss compensation circuit, the output of gain variable high-pass filters or low-pass filters of different frequency characteristics is added and input signals and the added signals are added. Also, the added signals are inputted to a variable gain amplifier. Since the frequency characteristics of the loss compensation circuit can be changed just by changing the gain of the filter, the characteristics of the compensation circuit can be matched with the variation of the cable.
