PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inspecting a work progress of a concrete modifying waterproof construction, which can easily and safely determine whether the construction is carried out by employing a modifying waterproof material containing a silicate compound as a principal component, can be applied to all surfaces including surfaces to be looked up and down, and can avoid the own strength of the concrete from sacrificing due to excessive drilling. SOLUTION: In the method for inspecting the work progress, a surface to be constructed is previously pasted with a concrete modifying waterproof construction checking mat 1 which is obtained by impregnating an approximately rectangular water-absorbing sheet with a pH indicator which turns its color in an alkaline condition, in such the state of the color exhibiting acidity, and then the concrete modifying waterproof construction is carried out, and the presence of a color change in the pH indicator before and after the construction and/or a weight change in the concrete modifying waterproof construction checking mat, are utilized, thereby inspecting the amount of used modifying waterproof material and the uniformity of the construction. In addition, the inspection can be carried out more accurately by checking the alkaline of crushed concrete powder generated by drilling a portion of the constructed surface or the alkaline of the inner wall of the drilled portion.
