PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building allowing an air conditioner for a room to be installed without letting it protrude into the room and allowing a user to perform the maintenance of the air conditioner easily. SOLUTION: In this building, a skip floor 29 is provided on a floor at the second story, a space between the skip floor 29 and a floor 6 at the upper story is used as a storage room 31 having ceiling height of 0.9-1.4 meters, the air conditioner 50 is installed in this storage room 31, and a blow-out port 51 for blowing out the air which is blown out from the air conditioner 50 into the storage room 31 into a space at the lower story is provided on a floor 6a (6b) in the storage room 31 along an edge of a wall 52 facing the storage room 31 and a room 3 below it so that the air conditioner 50 can be installed without protruding into the room and function normally.
