PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal processor capable of dealing with various uses, while using common hardware. SOLUTION: The signal processor 1 includes: a data register 12 for storing data to be calculated; a plurality of calculators 11-1 to 11-m for calculating data stored in the data register 12 in parallel; and a controller 13 for controlling the calculation by the plurality of computing elements 11-1 to 11-m in response to a program stored in an instruction memory 14. The instruction memory 14 stores a signal processing program microcode, an extension microcode, and a basic microcode, as programs. The controller 13 processes signals by executing the microcodes in response to a signal processing request from a CPU 2.
