Disclosed is a capacitor comprising a first collector composed of a metal foil, a first electrode layer formed on a surface of the first collector and mainly containing a carbon material, a resin layer formed on the first electrode layer, a second electrode portion formed on the resin layer and mainly containing a carbon material, a second collector arranged on the second electrode portion and composed of a metal foil, a case containing the first collector, the first electrode layer, the resin layer, the second electrode portion and the second collector, and an electrolyte solution for driving the capacitor contained in the case. The resin layer is in the form of a nonwoven fabric having fibers composed of a resin and irregularly bonded with one another. The fibers of the resin layer are entwined with the first electrode layer. This capacitor can be formed thin and small.
