DIELECTRIC GLASS POWDER WITH SPHERICAL SHAPE AND PROCESS FOR THE SAME

A Ba-based spherical glass powder for dielectrics, a method for preparing the glass powder, and a dielectric paste composition containing the glass powder are provided to improve the uniformity of composition even without the milling process and to enhance the transmittancy in a visible light range. A Ba-based spherical glass powder comprises 15-35 mol% of BaO; 20-35 mol% of B2O3; 15-45 mol% of ZnO; and 5-15 mol% of SiO2. Preferably the glass powder has a size of 0.2-3 micrometers. The glass powder is prepared by dissolving at least one precursor selected from an acetate, a nitrate, a chloride, a hydroxide and an oxide in distilled water or an alcohol to prepare 0.02-3 M precursor solution; injecting the precursor solution into a spray device to generate the droplet having a diameter of 0.1-100 micrometers; injecting the droplet into a reactor of 1,200-1,400 deg.C; and maintaining the duration time of the injected droplet to be 0.1-30 sec by the flux change of a carrier gas.
