<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To combine cost reduction and sound collecting efficiency to shorten the downtime of an image forming apparatus by utilizing a sound collecting means installed in the image forming apparatus to the maximum in recording operation sounds of various movable parts in the image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: This operation sound recording device mounted into the image forming apparatus comprises the sound collecting means movable in a horizontal direction or a vertical direction and collecting operation sounds generated in the image forming apparatus. The operation sounds collected by the sound collecting means are recorded by an operation sound recording means, and the operation sounds recorded by the operation sound recording means are compared with the limit values of preset normal sounds by an operation sound comparing means to individually detect abnormality of each movable part of the image forming apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
