<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the internal short-circuit of a photoelectric conversion device provided with a power generation unit as an assembled body that is provided with a supporting body to support a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements and a conductor layer joined to the supporting body through an electric insulation layer, and to improve the photoelectric conversion performance and reliability of the same. <P>SOLUTION: Before the photoelectric conversion device is configured, abnormal products due to internal short-circuit are extracted on the basis of measurement data on photoelectric conversion characteristics or electrical characteristics of the assembled body. Then, the heat generation state of the abnormal product is observed by the infrared thermography by using current to be run when a reverse-direction bias lower than a breakdown voltage is applied to the abnormal product, and the occurrence portion of internal short-circuit is located.
