PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain smooth mode switching between low-speed and high-speed modes and suppression of quick changes (shocks, impacts) caused by quick interception of power transmission when operating a shift lever from a driving state (e.g. D, L, and R ranges) to a non-driving state (P and N ranges). SOLUTION: Resistance on a hydraulic pressure discharge route (route indicated by an arrow mark C) formed by connecting a hydraulic pressure chamber of a clutch to be disconnected and an oil reservoir 28 is enlarged via a drain port 40 for a clutch of a manual hydraulic pressure selector valve 32. Thus, the side face of a recessed groove 49 arranged on the inner peripheral surface of a cylinder hole 43 of the manual hydraulic pressure selector valve 32 and the distance x in the axial direction at the side face of a land 48 of a spool 44 are lessened in comparison with the distance X at a conventional structure indicated by a long and two-dot chain line.
