PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera which is configured so as to appropriately operate in an image processing bracketing mode and in a mode of recording data, without processing images. SOLUTION: When the electronic camera is set to a white balance bracketing mode (S121), and to an image quality mode 1 (positively determined at S131), the electronic camera selects both the image quality mode 1 and an image quality mode 5 (S132). When the electronic camera is set to the white-balance bracketing mode (positively determined at S104), modification from an image quality mode 2 to the image quality mode 1 is inhibited (positively determined at S105, and S106 is skipped), and both of the image quality mode 1 and image quality mode 5 are selected (S109). In addition, when the operation of the electronic camera is modified to the image quality mode 1 from the both of the image quality mode 1 and image quality mode 5 (positively determined at S111), and is set to the white-balance bracketing mode (positively determined at S113), modification is inhibited (S111 is skipped).
