PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin foam excellent in the uniformity of a thickness. SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of the thermoplastic resin foam having steps of extruding a foamable thermoplastic resin from a die plate having a plurality of discharge holes, and gathering and bundling extruded foaming strands, the manufacturing method of the thermoplastic resin foam uses the die plate in which the width (La) of a discharge hole group is 200 mm or larger, the thickness (Da) is 5 mm or larger, and La/Da is 5 or higher, and discharge hole diameters of the discharge hole groups (a, c) at both sides of the discharge hole group are larger than the discharge hole diameter of the discharge hole group (b) at the central part.
