PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support bar having good appearance also at the position of a parting line. SOLUTION: The method of forming a support bar made of a fiber-reinforced plastic is characterized in that a second fiber-reinforced plastic with an organic fiber having a melting point of 150-300°C as a reinforcing material is disposed on the surface of a first fiber-reinforced plastic having a length of 1.5-3.0 m and a cross section of 50-400 mm2vertical to the longitudinal direction, and at least a part of the organic fiber on the surface is solidified in film like after being melted once.
