PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce dispersion of PMD in each of optical fibers and a maximum value of the PMD in an optical fiber cable, wherein a plurality of optical fiber ribbons formed by aligning a plurality of optical fibers in parallel and integrating them are assembled and twisted in one direction individually to be mounted. SOLUTION: In the optical fiber cable, as shown in Fig.1, when a maximum value for double refraction of all the optical fibers constituting a plurality of optical fiber ribbons 2 is B1 and a minimum value for the double refraction is B2 (a unit of double refraction is rad/m, and both of the maximum value and the minimum value are positive real numbers), a twist pitch P in one direction is set by the following expression.
