PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a meshy cloth controllable in air permeability in its dry state and wet state in such a way that its meshes are present as narrow holes in its dry state while its meshes are expanded in the width direction in its wet state, and to provide clothing using the same. SOLUTION: The meshy cloth (1, 10) includes fiber yarns A which are elongated in a wet state and fiber yarns B which are not elongated even if in a wet state or is lower in wet extensibility than the fiber yarns A. In this meshy cloth, portions (2) constituted of the fiber yarns B are arranged longitudinally, transversely, slantingly or in a zigzag fashion; while portions (3) constituted of the fiber yarns A are arranged planarly in between the portions (2), wherein there are mesh holes (4) in the planar portions, and the mesh holes (4) have such reversibility as to expand in the width direction in a wet state and return to the original state in a dry state.
