PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester surely preventing grain culms from spilling out due to their defective relay, even when the lengths of grain culms become short at ending of reaping work. SOLUTION: The combine harvester 100 has a conveyance chain 42 for relaying the feet side of grain culms reaped by a reaping section 3, conveying the grain culms and relaying the grain culms to the feed chain 6 of a threshing section 5 and an ear tip conveyance tine 41 for relaying the ear tip side of the reaped grain culms, conveying them and relaying them to the feed chain 6, and enables threshing depth to be controlled by vertically turning a threshing depth controller 40 (comprising the ear tip conveyance tine 41 and the conveyance chain 42). In this combine harvester 100, a limiting switch 51 is set toward conveying direction upstream side off a position where reaped grain culms are relayed to the threshing depth controller 40 (comprising the ear tip conveyance tine 41 and the conveyance chain 42); and when the absence of any grain culm is detected by the limiting switch 51, the threshing depth controller 40 (comprising the ear tip conveyance tine 41 and the conveyance chain 42) is turned toward deep-threshing side.
