Substances testing involves contacting an arrangement of protein binders with a substance on a firm carrier containing a protein binder. The protein binder is made of animal or human protein or the skin or hair. The binding result is detected. Independent claims are included for: (1) a method for identifying and characterizing of protein binder or substance, which involves contacting an arrangement of protein binders with a substance on a firm carrier containing a protein binder; and (2) an arrangement of protein binders for testing a suitable substance, and for determination of the potential characteristic of a substance, which is made of firm carrier containing protein binder of an animal or a human protein.
