<p>The invention has been specially designed to be installed in a wastewater-drainage system for use as a pest control element, forming a barrier to cockroaches or any other type of insect, as well as rodents, etc. The invention is formed by a type of bushing having openings that have been suitably dimensioned for standard pipes used in this type of system, made from the same plastic material used in said systems, such as PVC, which bushing contains at least one ring electrode subjected to high voltage with the co-operation of a power circuit provided in an auxiliary casing suitably secured to the bushing. In addition, the electrode co-operates with at least one earthing ring, on which the discharge is produced with the passage of one of the above-mentioned animals. The circuit also includes a water sensor which is used to interrupt the operation of the pulse circuit while water is flowing through the collector.</p> |
