<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering wheel structure in which the outer peripheral portion of a steering wheel can be gripped by an occupant's hand by which the biological information can be stably detected. <P>SOLUTION: In the steering wheel 10, the occupant's hand touches a biological sensor 26 arranged in a rim portion 18, thereby the biological information of the occupant is detected by the biological sensor 26 and the contacting force of the occupant's hand to the biological sensor 26 is detected by a strain gauge 32 arranged in the rim portion 18. Herein, when it is detected that the contacting force of the occupant's hand to the biological sensor 26 is a predetermined value or more by the strain gage 32, the accurate biological information of the occupant can be acquired according to the biological information of the occupant detected by the biological sensor 26.
