<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sodium hexatitanate and a method for producing sodium hexatitanate having a new form and excellent wear resistance in a friction material and excellent reinforcing performance in a resin composition and to provide a friction material containing sodium hexatitanate. <P>SOLUTION: The sodium hexatitanate has an average particle diameter of 2 to 5μm in an irregular form, which is obtained by firing a pulverized mixture obtained by mechanochemical pulverization of a titanium source and a sodium source or which is prepared from sodium trititanate obtained by firing a pulverized mixture obtained by mechanochemical pulverization of a titanium source and a sodium source. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
