PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel controller of vehicle which can be employed without lowering the traveling speed of a working car 1 unnecessarily by limiting the maximum output of motors 4 and 4 depending on the residual capacity of a battery 2. SOLUTION: The travel controller 3 of a working car 1 performing free running by means of motors 4 and 4 employing a battery 2 as a power supply comprises a means for detecting the residual capacity of the battery 2, a means for determining the maximum limit output of motor to become smaller as the residual capacity detected by the residual capacity detection means decreases, and a means for controlling the output from the motors 4 and 4 in a range below the maximum limit output determined by the means for determining the maximum limit output of motor.
