PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information terminal including a sliding mechanism section for moving a first casing and a second casing in a sliding fashion in which both casings are prevented from being separated from each other in a vertical direction orthogonal to the sliding direction when, in particular, the second casing is disposed so as to cover one surface of the first casing. SOLUTION: The sliding mechanism section 3 includes a first sliding section 3A attached to the first casing 1 and a second sliding section 3B attached to a second casing 2. The first sliding section 3A includes a first slide rail supporting plate 31 attached to the first casing 1, a first slide rail plate 32 with a first slide hole 32b formed therein, and a first slider 33 provided at one terminal portion of the first slide rail plate 32. The second sliding section 3B includes a second slide rail supporting plate 36 attached to the second casing 2, a second slide rail plate 37 with a second slide hole 37b formed therein, and a second slider 38 provided at the other terminal portion of the second slide rail plate 37.
