<p>A washing machine for laundry and having a rotationally secure washing tub (2), which is supported in a housing (1), and having a washing drum (3), which is rotatable inside the washing tub, wherein each of the washing tub and the washing drum has a rear end face (7, 20), a front end face (15, 22) and a circumferential casing wall (19, 21 ). The washing drum is provided with a rear bearing point (10) for supporting the washing drum for rotation about a rotation shaft (9) by means of a drive device. A loading opening (23) for the laundry is disposed in the front end face (15, 22) of the washing tub and the washing drum. A front bearing point in the form of annular bearing element (29) encloses, in the region of the loading opening (23), the periphery of the opening, and has a diameter which is equal to or greater than the diameter of the opening and supports, together with the rear bearing point (10), the washing drum (3) rotatably in the washing tub (2).</p> |
