A cleaning article (10) that has a handle insertion section (15) and where a handle is attachable to the article by inserting the handle into the handle insertion section (15). Opposite handle insertion section forming sheets (13) are joined to the handle insertion section (15). One or more fiber layers (11A, 11B) each constructed from fiber bundles are arranged individually on the upper and lower surfaces, in the handle insertion section forming sheets (13), of the handle insertion section (15). Of the fiber layers (11A, 11B), the first fiber layer (11A) closest to the handle insertion section forming sheets (13) is, at the center in the lateral direction of the layer, joined by a continuous center seal line (16A) continuously extending in the longitudinal direction to the handle insertion section forming sheets (13), and at a position separated to at least either of both sides laterally outward from the continuous center seal line (16A), the first fiber layer (11A) is joined by a non-continuous side seal (16B) extending non-continuously in the longitudinal direction. ® KIPO & WIPO 2009 |
