PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to measure a pulse wave even in the vicinity of the tip end of an antilobium for example while reducing noise due to vibration caused by a pressure pulse near the surface of a skin by using light of a wave band easily penetrating the dermis of a living body as a detecting light in a pulse wave measuring instrument for detecting biological information. SOLUTION: The first pulse wave measuring instrument has a laser element for emitting light with wavelength of 0.65-1.85μm to the living body, and a frequency difference detecting element detecting a frequency difference between a reflected light, wherein the laser light emitted from the laser element is reflected by the living body, and the laser light.
