PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a player to enter a password for continuing a performance of a slot machine in a natural way according to the progress of a game, and to prevent the password from being known by other persons. SOLUTION: A mode transfer switch makes the slot machine shift to an input mode (S1) to rotate three reels (S2) and count the number of rotations (S3). If the reels is stopped by a game player's operation (S4 and YES), the number of rotations is decided (S5), the decided number of rotations is converted into a performance mode with reference to a certain table (S6). A performance is resumed from the converted mode (S7). A password, or information to be kept private, is not known around and can be entered in the continuous progress of the game in a game machine, a slot machine, which forces the player to play in the public eye.
