PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leg device for a desk, which is capable of easily stabilizing leg parts without adding separate members even if expanding the depth of a top board in a desk such as a study desk facilitating expansion/contraction of an effective depth of a top board despite of having the top board fixed to the leg parts and having stable balance of the center of gravity. SOLUTION: The desk is so formed that both sides of the top board 1 are supported by leg bodies 2, an expansion top board 3 is provided at the top board or the leg bodies directly or indirectly via other members, and the expansion top board can take a horizontal attitude where the expansion top board is continued to the rear end of the top board and its upper face is flush with the top board, and a storage attitude where the expansion top board does not project rearward from the rear end of the top board, wherein front side ground contact members 6 are attached to the front parts at the lower ends of the leg bodies, and rear side grounding members 7 are detachably attached to the rear parts so as to change their attachment positions to the front/rear.
