PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently improve the yield of lactic acid in a method for producing the lactic acid, using microorganisms having the ability of synthesizing lactic acid. SOLUTION: The method for producing the lactic acid comprises culturing the microorganism having the ability to synthesize the lactic acid by using a culture medium comprising folic acid.
