<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document processing method, a document processing program and a document processor for displaying a document based on an electronic document so that a user may obtain the positions and types of document elements in a whole document. <P>SOLUTION: An icon generation part 30 reads an electronic document from a storage part 112, and interprets attribute information in the electronic document, and acquires the types and positions of the document elements included in the attribute information. An icon generation part 30 acquires display data corresponding to the types of the document elements from an icon image storage part 32, and generates data for displaying a bookmark icon.
