PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve the following problem: when system backup of data is stored in a plurality of storage positions in order to secure protection and security of the data, a necessary storage capacity is increased according as the number of storage basis is increased. SOLUTION: Storages present in a plurality of basis are constituted as data parts or parity parts of RAID, and they are constituted as one collective virtual storage. Since a RAID constitution with parity parts is given to the virtual storage, data can be restored in spite of the occurrence of a fault in one position and can be restored without performing backup and restore. Since it is unnecessary to acquire backup in order to protect data, the necessary storage capacity can be reduced as a whole. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
