PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorine-containing copolymer composition capable of forming a coated film that causes little discoloration and denaturation, and has excellent water resistance, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing the fluorine-containing copolymer composition is disclosed, in which a monomer composition including a fluorine-containing monomer is polymerized in presence of a metal oxide-containing glass. The method is also disclosed, in which the metal oxide-containing glass is a phosphate glass. By using these methods, the fluorine-containing copolymer composition capable of forming the coated film that causes little discoloration and has excellent water resistance, and its manufacturing method can be provided.
