PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a sticking phenomenon caused by printing, to reduce a paper waste, and to shorten a printing time. SOLUTION: A capstan roller 12 is arranged upstream from a platen roller 11 in a feed direction from the supply side of a roll sheet 41 toward the discharge side. The image forming apparatus is equipped with a capstan driving motor 12a for rotating the capstan roller 12, a platen driving motor 11a for driving the platen roller 11, and a conveyance controller which controls the capstan driving motor 12a and the platen driving motor 11a independently of each other to convey the roll sheet 41. Printing is carried out while the roll sheet 41 is conveyed in the feed direction by the independent rotation of the capstan roller 12 and the platen roller 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
