The invention provides methods for treating Aß peptide related disorders such as Alzheimer's disease comprising administering to a patient in need thereof a substituted 2-(pyrimidinylamino)-thiazole-5-carboxamides in free or pharmaceutically acceptable salt form, preferably dasatinib, in an amount effective to inhibit or reduce accumulation of Aß peptide.
