The device has a working cylinder (7) attached at a plate (4) to be deformed in perpendicular, and a differential pressure piston (8) is guided into the cylinder. A movement unit is provided for relative movement of the working cylinder and differential pressure piston. The stroke length of the relative movement of the cylinder and the piston is multiple times larger than the drawing depth of the plate, and the area limiting the front side of the plate and the differential pressure piston form an effective area that is sealed outwards and filled with gas in the working cylinder.
