The device includes gaseous medium like inert gas, air or water vapor, which is guided over fleece by a hollow distribution device (2) having multiple nozzle openings. The nozzle openings are arranged in a housing wall (2.1) of the distribution device, and have a gap smaller than 10, preferably 5 or 2 mm to the surface of the fleece or the web material. The water vapor is heated with a heating device above the saturation temperature. INDEPENDENTS CLAIMS are included for: (1) a fleece, which is treated with a gaseous medium applied with pressure; and (2) a method for producing fleece, which involves compacting filaments by a calendar device and a compacting device, where compacted fleece is brought to a needling device and the fleece are supplied to a dryer and then to conditioning device or batching device. |
