<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system in which a load distribution in a surface of a membrane electrode assembly is made uniform irrespective of an operation condition of a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: Fuel cell stacks 10 are combined at a constant dimension. During operation of the fuel cell stacks 10, a required current, a temperature, and a supply pressure of fuel gas, and a supply pressure of an oxidant gas are detected, and based on the detected value, a load distribution is estimated according to an operating condition. Then, based on the load distribution, a humidifying gas to be supplied to a load managing layer 24 is controlled to make uniform the load distribution on the surface of an MEA 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
