<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus and method in which mirror reversal processing and top-and-bottom reversal processing can be carried out at high speed without adding a hardware resource such as a dedicated mirror reversal portion or a top and bottom reversal portion and without using a dedicated memory. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus includes a memory 310 having an area 320 for storing the raster data of a print image, an address control section (compression address control section 314) for generating the read-out address of the raster data stored in the raster data storage area 320 at least depending on the need of skew correction and other process execution, and a section 306 for reading out the raster data according to the read-out address generated by the read-out address control section and performing a predetermined compression processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
