<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strap with little burden to a player. <P>SOLUTION: The strap 100 for a musical instrument includes: a neck band 101 suspended on the rear side of a neck part of the musical instrument player; and a musical instrument connection tool 10 for connecting the neck band 101 to the musical instrument by being connected to both ends of the neck band 101 extending to a front side from right and left of the neck part, respectively. The musical instrument connection tool 10 includes: a flat plate 1 for holding an interval between a right side part of the neck band 101 extending from a right side to a front side of the neck part and a left side part of the neck band 101 extending from a left side to the front side of the neck part by preventing the right side part from approaching the left side part; and a hook 5 engageable with the musical instrument. The flat plate 1 includes: a hole where a right side end of the neck band 101 is connected; and a hole where a left side end of the neck band 101 is connected.
