PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a battery capacity or a storage capacity from being consumed owing to acquiring an undesired moving picture. SOLUTION: When acquiring a moving picture, a monitor detecting means 50 detects whether a photographer who is looking into an optical finder is monitoring a photographing state confirming means 3. When a state where the photographer is monitoring the photographing state confirming means 3 is changed into a state where the photographer is not monitoring the means 3 in the monitor detecting means 50, capturing of the moving picture is stopped.
