PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of executing initialization to a memory at a high speed without increasing costs. SOLUTION: The general controller 12 of a multifunction printer 10 is provided with a data converter 21, a DMAC 22, a first compression/expansion device 23, a second compression/expansion device 24, a rotating device 25, a control part 15 and a memory unit 16. The DMAC 22 is a device for transferring image data to the memory unit 16. The data converter 21, the first compression/expansion device 23, the second compression/expansion device 24 and the rotating device 25 are for executing image processing to the image data and writing the image data to which the image processing is executed to the memory unit 16. The control part 15 selects two or more devices from the data converter 21, the DMAC 22, the first compression/expansion device 23, the second compression/expansion device 24 and the rotating device 25 and makes the respective selected devices execute the initialization to the memory unit 16.
