PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication method capable of dynamically configuring an anchor area without increasing load on a network. SOLUTION: The communication method comprises an anchor area in which a mobile unit can change a radio base station to be connected while maintaining an active state. The communication method comprises: a step (S11) for the mobile unit to transmit a session connection request to the radio base station; a step (S12) for the radio base station to add an identifier of its own device to the received session connection request so as to transmit the request to a subscriber control node; and a step (S15) for the subscriber control node to determine the area corresponding to the identifier as the anchor area based on the correspondence of the preset radio base station to be initially connected and the radio base station area constituting the anchor area.
