PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing to be used in such a state that water or liquid mainly containing water exists on the raceway surface, having impact load or vibration resistance and a longer life while keeping rotating accuracy at the same level as a general metal or ceramics rolling bearing. SOLUTION: The underwater rolling bearing 1 to be used in a state of being sunk under water comprises an inner ring 2 and an outer ring 3, a plurality of rolling elements 4 laid between the inner ring 2 and the outer ring 3, and a cage 5 for holding the plurality of rolling elements 4 in slide contact therewith.
