PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rope come-off preventive device of an elevator capable of easily adjusting the space dimension from a rope wrapped around a sheave irrespective of the arrangement of the sheave. SOLUTION: The rope come-off preventive device comprises a sheave 2 with a rope 3 of an elevator being wrapped therearound, a base body 5 with the sheave 2 being turnably provided on its one side face, a come-off preventer 6 which is arranged in a vicinity of the position at which the rope 3 comes off from the sheave 2, and arranged opposite to the rope with a predetermined space therebetween, an arm 7 for supporting the come-off preventer 6, a fixing means 8 for fixing the arm 7 to the other face of the base body 5 by the operation from the other face side other than the one side face of the base body 5, and a position adjusting means 9 for moving the arm 7 so that the come-off preventer 6 is advanced/retracted to/from the rope 3. The position adjusting means 9 is arranged so that the space dimension between the come-off preventer 6 and the rope is adjustable by the operation from the other face side of the base body 5.
