DEVICE FOR ADJUSTING AND BLOCKING A SNARE BAND

Disclosed is a device for adjusting and blocking a snare band of a musical drum. Said device comprises a mechanism for adjusting a first setting in which the snare band is raised from the resonant skin of the musical drum and a second setting in which the snare band rests on the resonant skin at a predefined maximum contact pressure. The adjusting mechanism is provided with a displacement mechanism which, in a third setting of the adjusting mechanism, allows the contact pressure of the snare band on the resonant skin to be continuously adjusted between the contact pressure in the first setting and in the second setting. In the third setting, the displacement mechanism is operated by means of a foot pedal and a cable. The cable extends through a regulating member (21) and determines the distance between the regulating member (21) and a regulating lever (23) by means of the cable tension. When actuated, the regulating lever (23), which is preloaded using a pressure spring, moves a pressing screw (14) that is connected to a shaft (9) counter to the force of another pressure spring (13).
