A voice data transmitting system using Zigbee and a method thereof are provided to suggest an application header suitable for voice data transmitting/receiving in Zigbee. A transmitting/receiving apparatus transmits and receives voice data by a frame in a Zigbee standard communications system including voice codec. A header controls voice data when transmitting the voice data in Zigbee standard communications. The voice frame which is not transmitted as one packet is classified in the header which transmits the voice data by using a maker bit.
