摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lithium transition metal compound powder for a positive electrode material of a lithium secondary battery capable of enhancing load characteristics such as rate-output characteristics, reducing cost, and enhancing resistance to a high voltage and safety at the same time.

SOLUTION: The lithium transition metal compound powder for the positive electrode material of the lithium secondary battery is obtained in such a way that a lithium transition metal compound having a function capable of inserting and releasing lithium ions is used as a main component, 0.01-2 mole percent of one or more kinds of additives for suppressing particle growth or sintering in baking to the total molar amount of transition metal elements of the main component raw material are added to a main component raw material, and baked. The production method of the lithium transition metal compound powder is configured so that a lithium compound, one or more kinds of transition metal compounds selected from V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, and Cu, and the additives suppressing particle growth and sintering in baking are crushed in a liquid medium, uniformly dispersed to form slurry, the slurry is spray-dried, and obtained spray-dried powder is baked.
