<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of sufficiently ventilating and cooling both of a body side ventilation object A and a unit side ventilation object B, without having to add a fan in the image forming apparatus 100, constituting an apparatus body 10 forming images on sheets S, and a post-processing unit 20 mounted to the apparatus body 10 for carrying out post-processing of the sheets after image formation, and comprising a fan 30 at the apparatus body 10 to ventilate the body side ventilation object A. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus body 10 is provided with a body side ventilating part 41 connected to the fan 30, in parallel with the body side ventilation object A. The post-processing unit 20 is provided with a unit side ventilating part 43 connected to the body side ventilating part 41, in the mounted state of the post-processing unit.
