PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein, since a camera lens is incorporated in the radial direction of a truncheon, the camera lens is directed in a different direction when the truncheon is directed toward a criminal, and the criminal can not be imaged. SOLUTION: This truncheon is provided with a truncheon body 1 of a predetermined size, and a camera part 2 mounted on the truncheon body 1. Main components such as a recording medium, a battery, a main board and the like are incorporated in a handle part 1b, a shutter button 5 is externally mounted thereon, and the camera lens 2d is mounted to a sheath part 1c by being directed in a tip direction of a striking rod 1a. The camera part 2 is provided with a recording medium, an LCD controller, a battery, a camera lens, and a main board for an integrated circuit of the camera. At a free end of the handle part 1b, a disc drive (not shown) for inserting/extracting the recording medium is formed, and is locked by a lock cap through a lock means in nonuse.
