PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of effectively surface-treating a workpiece which requires a part of the surface not being treated. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a workpiece clip 10 that contacts a surface treatment fluid 52 and holds the workpiece for surface treatment such as electroplating and anodic oxidation. The workpiece clip 10 has a pair of holding plates 1, 2 for sandwiching and holding the workpiece. An insulation film 5 such as silicon rubber is stuck on a part of the surface of the holding plate 1, with which the part of the non-surface-treated portion of the workpiece contacts.
