PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sleep disorder-preventing or treating agent which can induce natural sleep, shorten sleep latency, increase deep sleep, is excellent in the maintenance of sleep, and enables the acquirement of a suitable sleep time. SOLUTION: This sleep disorder-preventing or treating agent comprises combination of one or more medicines selected from the group consisting of sedative antidepressants and anti-histamine agents, and (S)-N-[2-(1,6,7,8-tetrahydro-2H-indeno[5,4-b]furan-8-yl)ethyl]propionamide.
